Hello Blog World & Travel Planning

Hello Blog World!

I'm so excited to start this blog! I've been meaning to start one for ages and for some reason just haven't done so yet. Perhaps it was, because it seemed like such a tedious task, or maybe, because I thought that no one would really care about what I have to say. Whatever the reason, I am taking a stand today to show myself that I can take this on. The time is now people, the time is now! :)

As I tend to do introductions that go on for way too long, I'll just jump right into it to save you, and myself, from the lengthy words that might have taken place here. The only thing I'd like to say (see, I knew I couldn't say nothing at all) is that I hope that this blog can bring someone out there a bit of happiness. That's really the reason I started my YouTube Channel and it's the reason I'm starting this blog...plus, I do like to talk a lot. ;)

Just in time for our 10th wedding anniversary, my husband and I are planning a 2 week vacation to Europe! To be exact, we'll be visiting Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels. We're so freaking excited, I can't even begin to tell you.

Today, we finally started planning the specifics of the trip and it made it all the more real. We really are going to be in these cities and we really are going to be seeing all these magnificent places! While the planning stage is one of the most exciting and pleasurable parts of a trip, it can be quite overwhelming as well. This is especially true when you are going to visit cities with so so so many attractions and you can't quite fit everything into the few days you'll be there.

The husband made his list, I made my list, and we sat down and realized that we will be trying to cram a LOT of sites into each day we're there. Thank goodness I made us a snack, otherwise our brains would stop working!

Google maps and DK Eyewitness Travel Guides definitely helped in the planning so I can't recommend them enough for planning your travels. In the end we planned, we over planned, and got a bit overwhelmed. I realize that even with the best planning, things might not go the way you expect, so it's important to always leave yourself a little wiggle room for the unexpected. Sometimes, it's those unexpected moments that will be most memorable parts of your trip.

I do also have to mention that this will be our first time using Airbnb for lodging and while I'm super excited about that, I'm also a bit unsure about the whole thing. We found a great little studio apartment in Paris in the most beautiful area for a price I couldn't believe. The couple renting it has only 5 star reviews and sound like a sweet, young couple, so it seems luck is on our side. We shall see, maybe this will be the only way we travel from now on after an amazing experience. I truly hope so!

I am planning on filming a couple vlogs while were in Europe, so I hope you check them out! It will be my first attempt at vlogging, so we'll see if I'm any good at it! :)

For now, I'm enjoying the rest of my Sunday and wish you all a splendid week!

Feel free to check out my YouTube Channel where I talk about food, life, a bit of beauty, and other things that interest me!
